New Coach Press Release

Castle View will be enjoying some top-notch entertainment during the school's upcoming sporting and other spirit events. Their new Poms coach, Stephanie Kroll, is ready to shake things up and take its Poms team to a new level! Coach Steph is a life-long learner in the field of dance who believes in helping young ladies give back to their community, remain humble and respectable, all the while, of course, having fun!

After graduating from Ponderosa High School, and then University of Colorado's Leeds School of
Business, Coach Steph spent almost two years in Los Angeles working with HULU in their advertising department. But her favorite part of the day was the time she spent training with some of the top choreographers, teachers and performers in the country at the prestigious Edge Performing Arts Center. This is the same Edge that is frequented by many A-list celebrity clients, names like Amy Adams, Christina Applegate, Kirsten Dunst, Katie Homes and many others.

While attending CU, Kroll was a member of the CU Express Dance Team, where they performed at
CU basketball, volleyball and football games and other events. She also assisted in choreography for
their national competitions. She even won a third place National Title in Division IA Poms!
Coach Steph also knows a thing or two about high school Poms, as she and her team won two State
Championships while on the Ponderosa High School Dance Team, as well as a fourth place National
Title in the Jazz division.

Kroll is now back in Colorado, and she says of her current goals, "My dream is to train to be a Denver
Broncos Cheerleader and to be an amazing Castle View Varsity Poms coach! I'm so excited to be
coaching at Castle View because of the incredible potential and talent at this school. I've also wanted
to have my own team for a really long time and CVHS is a really good fit for me!" When asked what
she plans to focus on to build a sustainable Poms program, she said:
• developing dance technique, physical stamina and overall health
• producing quality entertainment for the school to enjoy while increasing school spirit
• giving back to the community and helping those in need, fundraising and goal setting
• crushing the competition :)
• teaching the ladies of my team how to represent the school in a humble, classy, respectable and
professional manner while creating fun memories that will last forever!

CV's Athletic Director, Derek Cordes: "Stephanie is a bright young leader with great dance experience.
Stephanie's involvement with the state championship Ponderosa Pom teams as well as her role on the CU
college dance team have generated a great passion and knowledge of dance and school dance programs.
Her involvement and understanding of the continental league and Colorado dance studios are a huge
strength that she will bring to the table as the head CVHS Pom coach. However, her biggest strength is
her passion and understanding of her role as a positive role model for our girls. Stephanie will assist our
Poms team stay on the path of becoming responsible young women and positives members of the Castle
Rock community."
